Six American Board of Obesity Medicine diplomates in Chicago recently formalized a local obesity organization called Illinois Obesity Specialists (IOS).  IOS will hold its first event in late January, with ABOM Diplomate Dr. Robert Kushner as the keynote speaker.  Details are provided below.

About: A local, independent organization comprised of Illinois-area clinicians treating obesity.

Mission: To promote the practice of Obesity Medicine by providing opportunities for local obesity specialists to network, share best practices, and educate the medical community and the public about the disease of Obesity.

Membership: Open to MDs/DOs/NPs/PAs/RDs
