ABOM Foundation CMO Presents at AHA Scientific Sessions

On November 9, 2025, ABOM Foundation Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Kimberly Gudzune presented at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific Sessions during the symposium, “Obesity: Refining Definitions and Clinical Approaches.” During the session, Dr. Francesco Rubino presented the definition and diagnostic criteria of obesity from the Lancet Commission and Dr. Jamy Ard represented the perspective of The Obesity Society on this work and remaining challenges. Dr. Gudzune then presented on “Optimizing the medical approach for patients with obesity,” which was followed by a patient panel discussing weight stigma experienced in care settings.
